Terms & Conditions — dbgrade
Effective Date: 16th. July, 2026
dbgrade is operated by Pascal Cescato, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel), Villeneuve-sur-Lot, France. SIRET: [awaiting for it].
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of database audit services (“Services”) through dbgrade.tech. This offering is intended exclusively for professional clients (businesses, sole proprietors, and other organizations) acting in a business capacity — not for consumers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting or purchasing an audit through this website, you confirm that you are acting on behalf of a business or as an independent professional, and you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
dbgrade provides independent, one-time technical audits of PostgreSQL and MariaDB/MySQL databases, covering security, integrity, and performance metrics. The Service results in a PDF report including an overall score, a score by dimension, prioritized recommendations, and a technical appendix listing the tables and constraints examined.
Database access required to perform the audit (read-only credentials, or another arrangement agreed with the client) will be specified before work begins.
3. Ordering and Payment
Audits are requested through the contact form or by direct arrangement. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or via Stripe (which itself supports SEPA transfer). Full payment is due before the audit is delivered, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Delivery
The report is delivered in PDF format, in French or English as specified by the client, within the timeframe agreed at the time of order.
5. Refunds and Cancellation
Because the Service consists of a report generated on request and delivered digitally, once the audit has been performed and the report delivered, no refund will be issued. If the client cancels the request before work has begun, any payment already made will be refunded in full. If work has already started, a partial refund may be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
6. Follow-up Audit
If the recommendations from the initial report are implemented within three months of delivery, a follow-up audit (new scan, comparison with the original report, adjusted score) is provided at no additional charge, as described on the pricing page at the time of the original order.
7. Intellectual Property
The report delivered to the client is the client’s to use internally and to share within their organization. The audit methodology, scoring engine, and underlying tooling remain the property of dbgrade and may not be reproduced, resold, or redistributed.
8. Confidentiality
Any database credentials, schema information, or data accessed in the course of an audit will be used solely for the purpose of performing that audit, and will not be disclosed to third parties. Access credentials are discarded once the audit is complete, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The audit report reflects the state of the database at the time of the scan and is based on the metrics and methodology described on this site. It does not constitute a guarantee of security, performance, or fitness for any particular purpose, and does not replace professional judgment regarding the client’s specific infrastructure and risk tolerance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount paid by the client for the audit giving rise to the claim. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be submitted to the competent courts within the jurisdiction of Agen, France, unless mandatory legal provisions require otherwise.
12. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time an order is placed applies to that order.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the website contact form or to [email protected].
